Moonsoon was founded in 1973 by Peter Simon following a period of selling shaggy woolen coats on the Portobella Road and hand block printed clothes with an ethnic origin from faraway places, including unusual dresses from Afghanistan and countries en route.
The intrinsic beauty of fabric, color and technique sourced from the Far East continues to exercise a strong influence. Today Monsoon's team of talented designers gather inspiration and ideas from around the world to create the individual Monsoon look.
Today, ranges are sourced from many different countries, producers being selected for reliability and guaranteed quality.
